Sunday Programs

Below is a list of Sunday morning children’s programs that are offered on a typical Sunday.

Nursery (0-3)

We have a supervised nursery available upstairs for children up to age 3.  This room is equipped with toys and loving caregivers who have all completed a criminal record check.  Due to our child safety policies, parents are not permitted to stay in this room with their children.  This is a drop-off only nursery.

Parent Corner

The Alcove on the balcony closest to the stairs is designated for nursing moms. There are some books, coloring sheets and crayons for younger children available in this area. The Fireside area in the lobby is also available if you need a bit more space.

Preschool (age 3- 5)

This class is for children ages 3-4 and children age 5 who have not yet entered Kindergarten.  In this class children will listen to a Bible story, sing some songs, make a craft, have a snack, and finish off with some play time.  This class begins when children have been dismissed from the main service. Children must be signed in and picked up by a parent or caregiver.

Sunday Mornings

K-Gr. 2 – This class is for children in Kindergarten, Gr. 1 and Gr. 2.  In this class, children will listen to a Bible story, sing songs, do a craft, and play games.

Once children have been dismissed from the service; they make their way upstairs to sign into their classroom.  Children must be signed in and picked up by a parent or caregiver.

Gr. 3-4 – This class will use the book The Ology by Marty Machowski to teach children theology and how to apply biblical truths to their lives.  This class takes place in our large upstairs room, following dismissal from the main service.

Gr. 5-6 – This class will study apologetics as students learn why the Christian worldview makes better sense of the world around them than secular worldviews and other religious worldviews.  This class will give students confidence that the Christian worldview is true and is the basis for living a full life.  Children will be dismissed from the service and head to the youth room in the church basement.

Awana

AWANA is our mid-week children’s program that runs on Thursday evenings from September – March each year. AWANA is a program that combines fun games, Bible stories and Scripture memory to disciple children.

Our AWANA club has three classes: Cubbies (pre-school age children), Sparks (Kindergarten – Grade 2), and T&T (Grade 3 – 6).

AWANA will run for 10 weeks in the fall (Thursday evenings, September 26th – December 5th 2024 ) and for 10 weeks in the winter (January 9th – March 13th 2024).

We will accept registrations on a first-come, first-served basis until our classes are full. After that, families will be placed on a waitlist. The cost to register for AWANA is $40 per child.

Summer

During summer there will be classes for Preschool to Grade 5, as well as a supervised nursery.

In this class, children will listen to a Bible story, sing songs, do a craft and if time permits play games. Children will be dismissed from the service and then make their way to their classroom. Children must be picked up by a parent or caregiver.
