In the fourth part of our series going through Colossians, we see that being “rooted in Christ” means not only maintaining trust in Jesus as God’s Son, who rescues through his death and resurrection, but also being on guard for bad ideas that lead away from him. In this section Paul tells the community of Christ to ‘stay rooted’ and ‘not be deceived’ by empty philosophy. We need this same word today.
